What's the obstacle that would have prevented you from investing in coaching?

Accepting that I needed help. Before I even looked for a coach I had to accept that if I wanted to become an integrated man and have more self respect, I had to admit that I was unable to solve it myself. I needed help. That’s a really hard thing to do.

What did you find as a result of investing in coaching with me?

I discovered that my inability to manage my stress in a healthy way was holding me back from advancing in my career. We worked together to build a base of fundamentals to take care of myself, like journalling, talking with other guys, eating well, sleeping well, and exercise. That foundation allows you to be able to push through the obstacles that are in the way of your goals.

I was also able to recognize and eliminate self-sabotage. When something threw me off, I used to wallow in self-pity for two to three weeks. Now, I bounce back much quicker, usually within a few hours.

Things still happen that make me feel shitty, but I’m able to turn around faster and move on. That’s huge. That’s really huge and I’m grateful that Jason was able to help me get there.

What specific feature did you like most about my coaching process?

A lot of the work we did was through the journalling and I love the format. It’s simple, it’s easy. I can take notes in the Google doc whenever I want and Jason was always attentive to it. It helped me get clear on my own thoughts and stream of consciousness.

What were three other benefits from working with me?

I have a lot more self confidence and self respect. I’m able to set clear boundaries with people in my life, especially my wife, but also with friends and family. To me, setting boundaries is a form of self respect, so that’s been huge for me.

I also cut out watching porn, which was the original reason I hired Jason. I’ve found better ways to manage stress because stress really fucks with your body.

I’ve been working out more, so I’m in better shape and have much more energy.

I’m making a lot more money that I was when we first started working together, probably four times what I was making before I hired Jason. There’s an obvious correlation there.

Would you recommend someone else work with me? Why?

I’ve had other coaches in my life. I think that in order to make real change, you need to be brutally honest with yourself. That’s difficult with people, even your loved ones. Jason has a way of creating a very non-judgmental, safe space where people can say whatever they need to say without judgment. That’s very rare to find in people.

Jason also replies with honesty. He doesn’t sugar coat anything. I’ve always appreciated that he let me be as honest as I can and replied with honesty. Person to person, that’s hard to find.

Jason is very good at what he does. He’s good at figuring out the core issues when I don’t even know. He’s good at helping people see past their own shit, which is something that I think could only come from a coach who has done the work on himself. You can’t fake it or learn it from a course. You have to actually understand the nuances and how to make breakthroughs. It’s a world class skill, in my opinion, and Jason has it without a doubt.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

I used to need other people’s permission to live my life, whether it was my wife or parents or peers or some guru out there. I would always ask everyone else’s opinion. Being able to let go of needing validation from other people has such a huge ripple effect in your life. You start to go down a path of figuring out who you really are. I don’t think there’s really any greater purpose of living that living true to yourself. Not to sound dramatic, but Jason has helped me find my purpose in life. A lot of it was me and the work I put in and Jason helped me get there. There’s no greater gift you can give somebody. I feel like I’m finally starting to live true to myself, and that’s a really good place to be.
